Annual Trekking Expedition of Invincible NGO is to famous “Valley of Flowers” in Uttarakhand. The valley is located in Chamoli, Garhwal close to Nanda Devi National Park and the Holy Temple of Badrinath. It is bout 365 kilometers far from Haridhwar. The altitude of the place varies from 10,600 ft to 22,200 ft.
Till the May, the valley remains covered with snow. The best time to visit here is in the months of July and August after the snow has melted. That's when the weather is pleasant and the flowers are also in their full bloom of about 550 species in the valley.
The valley is bounded by snow covered peaks from all sides and an area of 8,950 hectares here was declared as National park in September 1982 and later was added to the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in July 2005. Valley is significant because of the rich diversified flora it has in its bounds. The valley of flowers is an alpine valley, and has been formed by retreating glaciers whose periodic advances and retreat pulverized hard rocks, resulting in a U-shaped valley.
As the aim of this camping is to provide Nature Education and train the youth for the critical situations, we prefer proper adventure establishment for the adventure camps.
